It’s another start to the week, but don’t let a dreary Monday get you down. Go get yourself some coffee and find out what Geeky Talk is hyped about this week. We’re still feeling the hype from Game of Thrones Season 7’s first episode yesterday. Are you? Well if not, get yourself some coffee and then read the Weekly Hype for more geeky goodness.

game of thrones season 7

Fans of the HBO series, Game of Thrones, can finally rejoice! The first episode of season seven finally made its way to the realm Sunday, July 16th. That’s right and Arya showing off her Nothern pride was spectacular…but we won’t go down that route of darkness and spoilers just in case you’re one of the unlucky few who didn’t get a chance to see it yet. Go to the HBO site to get more info about Game of Thrones Season 7.

niko and the sword of light small

How about an animation about a little boy armed with a magic and sword to stop the curse turning innocent creatures into monsters with the help of a princess? Niko and the Sword of Light: Season 1 will be available on Amazon Prime Friday, July 21st for all those who enjoy a good fantasy adventure. This looks like a cute animation. So get the kids or kids at heart and watch it on Friday. Be sure to watch the trailer too.

rogue one

Star Wars fans might be happy to watch some Netflix this week after Rogue One: A Star Wars Story releases on the streaming service. If you loved Rogue One, then you’ll be in for a treat when it’s available on Netflix Tuesday, July 18th. So be sure to check out the trailer for a reminder of this awesome movie, then join Jyn Erso as she aids the Rebel Alliance tomorrow on Netflix.

dunkirk

Movie goers are in for a treat as Dunkirk hits theaters this week. Dunkirk is about the evacuation of Dunkirk during the Second World War. Directed by Christopher Nolan, Dunkirk looks like it’s going to be a pretty intense film and we can’t wait to get a chance to see it. Dunkirk releases to theaters on Friday, July 21st. So watch the trailer and go see it in theaters this week.

Valerian

Looks like the theater will be the place to be for science fiction fans as well. A French comic series Valerian and Laureline is coming to movie theaters this week. Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets directed by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element) will be in theaters Friday, July 21st. Be sure to watch the trailer and get ready to see this visually stunning movie later this week.

aporia the valley beyond

It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve seen an interesting puzzle game but it looks like I’m going to finally have another puzzle to look forward to this week. Aporia: The Valley Beyond is a gorgeous first person puzzle game without dialogue or text to tell the story. The visuals in the trailer look amazing and remind me at times of Skyrim except with less death and more puzzle solving yumminess. I am rather interested in playing this one and can’t wait to start solving the mysteries. If you’re into solving puzzles too you can play Aporia: The Valley Beyond on Wednesday, July 19th. So check it out on Steam and be sure to play it on Wednesday.

That’s the Weekly Hype! I can’t wait to see Valerian and Dunkirk in theaters. What about you? What are you looking forward to this week?
